96 van fuel fill, still!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:23 pm

After contacting CC engineering, my SM figured out that the tank that
was replaced in April and then warped like the original was an old one.
So its time for the third tank. Only problem is that they are on back
order. Guess one of these days but at least the gage is realistic after
the spacer was installed.

Avenger ES '96 Weatherstripping?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:23 pm

I bought an Avenger ES a little over a month ago, which I love, but I
didn’t notice at the time that there is a small gap between the
weatherstrip above the doors and the roof of the car.

I took the car to the dealer, they took it into the body shop, and the
folks there claimed that the car is designed that way, or at least
there is no notice from Dodge about it. Also, they had several other
new Avengers on the lot, and each had the same gap with the
weatherstrip.

Anyway, is this normal with this car, and why is it there? I’m not
getting rained on, or anything, but any ideas?

all Wheel Drive Caravan

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:21 pm

I am considering purchasing an all wheel drive Caravan.

Has anyone any experience with the all wheel drive, ie track record,
repairs, failures, gas mileage?

Also why did you choose an all wheel rather than just the standard
front wheel?  ie does it drive much better and safer in snowy and icy
conditions?

Thanks

Jeep Wrangler Orders.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:21 pm

I have noticed some people have seen sports and saharas at dealer
in various areas of the country.

I order a 97 sport on May 6th and I still have not recieved a build/ship
date yet.

However people in other areas have ordered their jeeps later than me
have delivery dates in early june.  I am in Massachusetts.

How do they decided which orders get filled first? it isn’t a first
come first serve method.

Is there someone at Jeep/Chrysler that I can contact to find out the
situation with my order?

thanks.

Any 55,56 Plymoputh Owners

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:05 am

HI!!

My name is Tim, and I have a 1956 Plymouth Suburban (s/w).
The 55 and 56 models seem to be rare, not only in owners, but
also finding parts.

Is there any one else out there that owns one, or knows where one
is? I sure would like to here from any one who has interest in
these two year models of Plymouths. If I could find enough
interest, perhaps we could begin a 55, 56 Plymouth Club!!

2.2 Dodge Rad. Fan Broke + low oil press.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:05 am

My 85 Dodge runs cool at all speeds (even pulling a boat) but when I come
to a stop for a few minutes the temp guage rises close to the Hot zone.
The radiator and Ýhermostat are almost new.  The fan motor doesn’t come
on.  Is there a temperature switch for this and where is it?  I couldn’t
find a discussion of this in my Haynes manual.  I know the fan motor is
good because when I disconnect the sensor to set the timing the fan comes
on.  Is this the sensor that needs replacing?
Next possible problem.  The pressure guage shows a little above 5 psi at
cruising speed (tach broken) after warming up.  The scale is non-linear so
I’m not sure if this is really showing 8 or 12 or what psi.  This is much
lower than what the spec is in the manual.  The question is; are these
guages supposed to be accureate or are they just to show you have
pressure?  Any comments?  I run 10W30 Mobil 1 oil and have 142,000 miles.
   Thanks,

Performance Exaust for Neon

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:05 am

Hi,

I have a 95 Neon Sport and was thinking about getting a performance
exhaust system for it.  I was wondering if anyone can give me any
info/recommendations/warnings regarding this topic.  I guess my first
question is would such an exhaust system effect the warranty on the car?

Thanks,
Deene
