Need help finding Jeep part.

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:34 pm

I accidentally broke one of the tension bars for the roof of my ’93 Jeep and
the dealership will only sell it with the rest of the roof rack.  Does anybody
have an idea where I might be able to find Just that piece without having to
buy a whole new roof?

96 Grand Caravan Question

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:33 pm

We recently bought a ’96 Grand Caravan. The thing drives
beautifully. However, I did notice one thing. When the transmission
shifts from the low gears to the high gears, it seems that I hear for
a brief instant noise that is like some nuts are loose and rattling
and it is the engine that screams like that. It is only for a very
brief instant and then it goes away till it comes back when we shift
gears again. It also goes away when I release my foot off the
accelerator just a bit.

Has anybody else noticed this or is this new or am I imagining things?
Please e-mail back to me directly and I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

It’s at http://www.mordor.com/valiant/ (follow the link under "front
wheel drive") and I just made a correction or two and added a table with
the GLH/GLHS and Charger engines/years.

Turn Signal on 88 Dodge Omni

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:33 pm

I have a Dodge Omni with a turn signal that acts strangely… The
left turn flashes very slowly, but the right turn flashes
normally.  I suspect that it might be a relay, but I’m not sure.
I don’t think that it is a very big repair job, so I don’t want
to have to pay someone big bucks to fix it, but it needs to be
done in order for the car to pass the Oklahoma safety inspection.

Can anybody look in their Chilton’s and tell me how easy it would
be to fix it?

The waiting continues ….

So far it has been nine days since the dealer ordered parts needed to fix my
Lemon Shadow.

I called on Friday afternoon. Still no parts.  They did say that they get
parts in every day, so maybe on Monday they will come in.

Were are my parts ???  They must be on a slow boat from China.

CC will not admit axel problem

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:32 pm

It appears that the Chrysler Corporation will not admit that there is a
problem with the trailer axel on at least the Shadow.

I asked a local mechanic and he said he came across several Chrysler vehicles,
not only Shadows, that have had simmilar problems.

All had 30,000 to 35,000 miles on them when the part failed.

I was at a local shopping center and a Shadow passed me as I was walking in.
It was making the same sick sound as my car.

Also my brother heard a Sundance making the same sound from the rear.  There
is no mistaking this sound. Once you hear it you can’t forget it.

It seems I have scratched the surface of a problem.

96 VAN FUEL FILL, Again, SHIT!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:31 pm

Daughter filled her 96 GV for the first time since the third tank was
installed Mon; 17.0 gals at a hard empty. Gage needle was 1/2 off the
low end of the empty mark. Dealer is calling CC Mon but this is getting
OLD!!!  Gage does work correctly but it did with the second tank after
the bracket fix was installed. 20 Gallons advertised, specified and
sold, IMHO, should fill at least 18 Gals and closer to 19, all my Fords
did. All this is costing CC some big bucks, two tank replacements, a
fuel pump and the bracket, would think they could, would fix the damn
thing!
